Our team at Heselden Law has extensive experience in Immigration Law, providing legal assistance in every facet of Canadian immigration, from the International Mobility Program, to permanent residence applications, and everything in between.

Many of the people at Heselden Law are immigrants themselves, are fluent in many languages, including French, Spanish, Arabic, and Armenian, and have first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by people who are transferred to work in Canada on a short-term basis as well as the challenges of becoming a new Canadian.

Our Team of Case Coordinators

Our team includes personnel who have extensive immigration experience and exposure in Canada and abroad. Together, they bring a variety of experience in Law having worked at national law firms, (the “Big Four”), and boutique law firm.

They are knowledgeable in the processing of Canadian immigration matters, and are the point-of-contact resource that ensures that all matters are effectively processed. Each case is assigned to a Case Coordinator at the outset of the matter. All parties involved in a matter (e.g. applicant, HR representative, etc.) can contact their Case Coordinator at any time to discuss the case or ask any questions.

We process cases in a personalized and efficient manner and this is why we are able to provide full client satisfaction.

Our commitment is to your satisfaction. We ensure you get the services and results you need. We recognize that corporate immigration requires not only legal expertise, but the determination and full attention to matters, to get the job done.

Family Sponsorship

Family reunification is one of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s highest priorities

For Canadians and Permanent Residents who wish to sponsor a close relative for Permanent Residence. Individuals who are being sponsored by a family member, usually a spouse or a parent do not have to meet the point system or discretionary selection criteria used in the other application categories. Instead, they are sponsored by a relative in Canada who will provide assistance in the individual’s ability to establish themselves in Canada. Individuals being sponsored must undergo medical examinations and provide police clearance certificates during the application process.

Who Can Be Sponsored?

Only the following members of the family class may be sponsored:

  • Spouses, common- law or conjugal partners 18 years of age or older;
  • Parents and grandparents;
  • Dependent children, including adopted children;
  • Children under 18 years of age whom you intend to adopt;
  • Children or guardianship; or
  • Brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces or grandchildren who are orphans; under the age of 18 and not married or in a common-law relationship.
